Yesterday, for safety reasons, we found it impossible to pass not so much the first inland lake, but the narrow canyon that followed it. We woke up today hoping for a low tide, and we were lucky: before it started to rise, we made the 12 km of the strait and managed to get out successfully. Then a large channel awaited us and then we set off into the Qualeraliq fjord, to go to the big glacier. We sped up to get to the glacier (pictures coming soon) and finally managed to cut out a two-day round trip. We were able to get very close to the glacier, what an experience… As there was a lot of ice in the water, so as not to damage the propellers of the bikes, we paddled as best we could. Now, from a small beach with a view of the glacier, we celebrated with freeze-dried food, and we are very happy!
We have to retrace our steps and go to another area, there is a two-day storm forecast, we will check tomorrow to see if we can go further or if we have to make a tent day.
